Some of the things I make are “art”…?
Although I could always draw, when entering college in 1967, it did not occur to me to major in art. The well-known living artists at that time rarely included anyone whose work represented reality in any way. It was the pinnacle of non-objective art, in particular the Washington Color School.
The skill of drawing was better suited for design, not art. I also had the math and engineering skills that went along with architecture.
